22 Mar Reporting Student Visa Breach on PRISMS
All CRICOS providers have an obligation to inform the Australian Government if they have identified that their overseas student is in breach of their student visa condition. Continuing with my last post about overseas student transfers, in this video, I explain how to report the breach of student visa conditions on PRISMS.
Overseas students have conditions attached to their student visa which they must always adhere to. CRICOS providers must inform the Australian Government of any overseas student who they have identified as in breach of those visa conditions to the Department via Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS).
Providers should educate their students on student visa conditions (specifically 8202, 8518, and 8533 among all other visa conditions) including the consequences of breaching those student visa conditions. This video explains how to report these student visa breaches and what should providers consider before reporting these breaches on PRISMS.
